Labels are the Pits: The first ever Degree branded gender-neutral deodorant for teens that sparks conversation around a broader understanding of gender identity.
78% of Gen Zers agree that gender doesn't define a person, but many categories that signal the transition from childhood to adulthood โ like deodorant โ continue to limit the lines of gender to male or female.
GET teachers and teens at school TO begin talking about puberty with a more inclusive definition of gender BY arming them with content and tools BECAUSE teachers are the gatekeepers of puberty education and gender bifurcation is a thing of the past.
"Labels are the Pits" โ The first ever, Degree branded "gender-neutral deodorant" for teens that serves as the key to sparking conversation around a broader understanding of gender identity in schools and at home.
Deodorant is the first badge every young teen gets as "a new grown up," but most deodorants are bifurcated by gender, which reinforces traditional stereotypes. By removing this bifurcation, this opens the door to a more inclusive conversation.
The deodorant will come in a sampling kit along with other physical and online educational materials that will be handed out in schools to empower teachers and counselors.
